What data we collect

Depending on how you interact with the site, we collect:

• Contact details (name, email address, phone number) collected when you write to us by email or WhatsApp to ask about availability or information.
• Booking data (stay dates, number of guests, amounts paid) handled through our booking system Smoobu and our payment provider Stripe.
• Identity document required from guests with a confirmed booking as a legal obligation (notification to the Italian police authority through Alloggiati Web) and collected through the Chekin service.

Why we process this data

• To answer requests about availability and information.
• To manage the booking, the payment and the invoicing.
• To comply with legal obligations concerning the notification of guests to the Italian police authority (Alloggiati Web) and regional tourism statistics.

Who we share your data with

Your data is also processed by the following providers, acting as data processors:

• Smoobu — calendar and booking management.
• Stripe — online payment processing.
• Chekin — collection of identity documents for the online check-in. The mandatory notification to the Italian police authority is made by the owner on the Alloggiati Web portal.
• Google Maps — to show the villa's location on this site.

We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

How long we keep your data

For the mandatory notification to the Italian police authority (Alloggiati Web) we distinguish between two kinds of data. Copies and images of identity documents are not kept beyond the time needed to fulfil the obligation: they are deleted as soon as the notification has been sent. What is kept is the receipt of the notification, for the period laid down by law. Contact details relating to simple information requests that do not lead to a booking are kept only for as long as is needed to reply.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to request its rectification or erasure, to restrict its processing and to object to its use, by writing to info@villailgigliodelsud.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).

Video surveillance

The property has a video surveillance system limited to some outdoor areas. The interior of the house is not under video surveillance. The details are set out in a dedicated notice: Video surveillance notice.
